I totally forgot about that! Good to see they are keeping it fresh. Hopefully it will come back soon in February.

I'm glad that the show isn't going to devote it's entire run to Amanda's revenge. After all the significant characters went down, she'd have to resort to setting up pool boys and coat check girls.

Hate to disappoint you but that's what the show is about, Amanda's Revenge. I'm sure if it ends up running longer than originally planned, they will change the theme. Personally, I was hoping the show would be like a good book with a beginning middle and an end.

“I will tell you will have all of the answers to all of the questions that the pilot poses by the 13th episode,” says creator/executive producer Mike Kelley (Swingtown). “Then we will have an whole new installment of revenge that has to do with the trial of the murderer [of Daniel Grayson] that will take us through the back-half of the first season.”

The biggest question is what would season 2 entail? Another revenge saga? Basically, yes, according to Kelley, who cites Dexter as somewhat of a storytelling model. “In our show, there’s a whole conspiracy and seasons worth of people that will reap what they’ve sewn,” says the producer. “Revenge is a universal concept and it’s gonna permeate the show on every level. I plan to do installments of revenge. So I’ll set two installments a season which will be self-contained. They’ll focus on a group of people that need to come down and we’ll introduce new people. We’ll also give other characters on the show a reason to want their own revenge.”

Judging by this quote, the creator plans to keep the show going beyond Amanda/Emily's revenge, possibly into other people. I could see how the same thing every week for a long time could get old so I'm glad they are thinking of ways to keep it fresh.

Oh I agree, if the same story goes on for too long, I likely won't continue watching. As I've said before, I was hoping for a beginning middle and a conclusion to Amanda's, revenge plan, but not dragging it out over a long period of time; sort of like a short mini series. I started watching on the premise of the description given from the series promos. I'm sure it will still be great if it drones on into other areas, but like most shows of that kind, the theme will get old quick and it will just end up being another soap opera like Dallas. Not that that would be horrid, just not why I tuned in. So if they don't wrap it up in a timely manner. Maybe, I'll just go read the book they loosely based it on.

He says they will be self contained so it sounds like the plan is to have each half season be like a mini series, I would assume that means each would end, and then they would move on to something related, but new. Judging by that it seems like there is a clear intention to not allow it to become another endless soap. I hope that is the case.

Sounds great to me. I'm enjoying it so far. I think that's the problem with a lot series out there now, drag-stretch-drag (The Killing, Lost, Alias (yes, it was good in the beginning but it just got to be ridiculous as the seasons went on.), etc). Hopefully there will be a new trend in creating series, like posters said earlier, of having a beginning, middle, and an end or loose end.

I can see the revenge theme building on itself and creating it's own momentum:

Emily gets revenge on the people on her list.
Then they revenge her back.
Then Emily re-revenges them.
Then friends and family of the revengees revenge on Emily, because by this time the original revengees are all dead or in jail.

Whaddya think?

I think, I'll pluck my eyes out smash my head into a wall.

I love the show, let's just hope it continues to be as interesting and fun to watch as it has been in the past weeks.

I got a little scared that Nolan was going to be accused of that last crime, so glad he got out of there unscaved. I sorta really like/dislike the guy seems they flip flop his personality from moment to moment.
