There is something about that shade of purple they had her in that is SO offputting to me.

How much input do the stars have with their costuming? Some seem as though tons of effort went into them and others, not so much.

God, how I dislike that color! I don't think it flatters anyone's complexion.

One thing I don't get is why some of the professionals seem to purposely do things they know the judges won't like. I've seen it happen other seasons and already this season. For example, Len the judge has said numerous times he doesn't like when they do ridiculous things in the beginning instead of dancing right away. I think it was Maks brother this time who did that bit with the bed before they danced. This was done on another season and the judges didn't like it and he goes and repeats it. Do their egos take over and forget they are only hurting their partners? Why do they purposely do things that they know will lose points for them? I don't think it is fair to their partners.
If I remember correctly, it was Maks who pulled the bed stunt before. I can see him suggesting it to his brother and then laughing like hell when Len started lecturing the guy. I kind of think it was a joke. Sibling rivalry.

Me, too. He seemed to have a threatening quality about him. Maybe we just did not have enough time to get to know him.

I liked his dance instructor, though. Shame that she only lasted one episode.

I think Maks is very manly but I also think he's in a profession that attracts men of a more delicate nature.
I don't blame Carson. Many women have the same reaction to Maks. I mean, you can really understand the attraction.
