I already hate the TV show "Up All Night" and it hasn't even aired.

Watching those promos, which air constantly, is the visual equivalent to listening to nails on a chalkboard.

I like all the stars, but . . . it looks like the show itself is going to be truely awful and painfully unwatchable.

My bet is that it will be pulled after 3 episodes.

Anyone want to take that imaginary bet?

I am so with you on this. These smug, self-righteous parents treat their good friend so badly that if this were real life she would be a fool to stick around. The scene we keep seeing over and over again where Applegate pulls the baby away from Rudolph who is only reaching out to touch the baby's foot is nasty. The look on Applegate's face appears to be showing she is "protecting" her baby. From what? A well-meaning best friend?

Just another oh-we-had-a-baby-aren't-we-martyrs stereotype.

Oh and I only saw this one once but it was the two brainless parents suddenly realizing they had forgotten their poor cat. Or that they had a cat.

Not funny because there are people like this who abandon their pets when they have kids.

Fingernails on a chalkboard. Good description.

After the first episode, I couldn't be more disappointed. At no point in the show did I laugh. Not once! I hope it gets better. It can't get worse.

I have to concur. It was disappointing.

On the other hand, Free Agents which aired next, and which didn't seem all that promising, was actually engaging.

I was wondering what this show was like--I missed it.

They are both really old to be playing first-time parents anyway. Pretty unrealistic.

Great cast, awful writing. Cancelled soon. Same with the Hank Azaria show afterwards.

I didn't think it was that bad, especially for a first episode. I like applegate and my husband likes Mya. My husband laughed real good at least one time. Wish I remembered what at. I found the swearing thing fairly funny. I do that. And the fact that it's a stay-at-home-dad and a working mom, that's a nice change to see.
I don't watch shows on tv often, but if I'm up and catch this again, I'll watch it, and if not, I'll be watching on Hulu.

I guess you have to be a parent to enjoy this show because I didn't laugh during the whole show. I should have known from the previews to stay away but nothing else was on.
