I thought it was pretty good, and I too thought the professor is the one spilling secrets.
I'll keep watching

I think some people are a bit too demanding of a sci-fi tv show.
for those that are, have you ever found one you liked 100%?

I won't watch it anymore. I felt 'meh' after the pilot, but decided to give it a second chance. I want to like this show, but they're not doing anything to help me like it. It's flat out boring. The main family is lackluster and none of them invoke any real empathy or sympathy from the viewer. The bird episode last night was just stupid. What bird is going to be smart enough to know how to crawl through a tiny air chute, and be strong enough to bust out a steel grate and knock a full-grown guy on his ass?
I really wanted to like this show. I just can't. I won't be tuning in to it again.

They should let me write for this show.
Episodes 3. The famiy goes on a picnic in the forest and they are all eaten by raptors except for the little girl. The story would now focus on the little girl growing up without parents in land of the lost.

Pretty mediocre. With all the money they're spending on this show, you'd think they would have found some decent script wrtiers.

LOL!
I confess to LOVING the bad monster movies on SyFy. That's what last night's episode felt like - a bad SyFy "original movie" - like Aztec Rex
Aztec Rex - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I loved the scene where the leader was telling Jim that the 6ers had someone on the inside while he was standing amidst all his peeps...
I'm so bummed - I really, really wanted to like this show (Falling Skies flashbacks!)

True, but this probably is because the (family) drama in Falling Skies is more dramatic (lost their mother, recovered a son that is 1/2 alien, everyone suffered huge losses because of the invasion).
So when you compare Terra Nova with Falling Skies I would say that Terra Nova is like the original Star Trek (optimistic; everything can be solved through science) which imo can only be boring.

Love Terra Nova, it takes me away, and I don't need anything explained...make up my own explainations or ignore it all together...sure, it's not perfect, nothing ever is, but the concept alone, I enjoy...therefore, the show is a hit with me...but then, I love Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire, House, True Blood and Homeland...so, for me, it's all good!
