She's wearing the typical Long Island mom "uniform": Capris, sandals/flats, tight sleevelss shirt.
What should she wear? a plaid house dress like Ethel Mertz?

Another trashy reality show from TLC. These "mediums" capitalize on people's personal tragedies and should be ashamed of themselves.

Uhhh... I was responding to the previous poster's comment that she seems to wear the same outfit in every episode.

I've caught a few episodes of this show, including the Stephen episode. I don't know how to feel about it.

One the one hand, I watched a promo a few weeks ago for an upcoming episode where she's with a fireman. She asks him if anything happened 10 years ago. Now I'm w/ my friend and we both went "duh!". Let's see, fireman in NY, ten years ago, can't imagine anything significant happening to him

On the other hand, the Stephen episode was unnerving. If she's a fake, she's an incredible actress, but she doesn't seem like the sort to tear open a grieving mother's wounds. I'm not a skeptic, so haven't dismissed her fully yet

I just really can't stand her voice/hair. Shes loud and obnoxious - just another reason Long Islanders have the name they do.

We wonder why outsiders think we are all like this? Look at how the media perceives us.

I would say about 95% of Long Islanders are like this --- loud, obnoxious, etc. It's not a media perception. It's the truth. Sorry.

Theresa seems very genuine and some of these people are great actors if this is set up. Storylines developed? Well, sure. This is TLC.

I enjoy this show. It was the Stephen episode that reeled me in.

Well, I hope she's real. I would definitely make an appointment to see her.

There was a lot of the Stephen episode that seemed faked - the conversations with her husband, etc. I understand if they recreated those for the camera, but they should say they're doing that, if so.

I do believe in mediumship, and I think she may be connecting with some folks who have passed... but there's something about the dialogue/interactions that strike me as fake.
