I also like 'Medium' and 'My Name is Earl'. I confess that I like 'Judge Judy', too. And I still miss 'Northern Exposure'.
House is my favorite dramatic series outside of just about anything HBO produces. I didn't watch the first season because I thought it was just another hospital show like ER. My sis reminded me Hugh Laurie was one of the characters on Black Adder, a BBC favorite. Ditto on Northern Exposure. At first I thought Men in Trees was trying to emulate NE but sure now.

The entire cast of Deadwood is superb. Didn't like it so much when they focused on the "actors". Can't wait for the movies. Ditto on House.

Seinfeld is classic show - we still just about roll on the floor every time a rerun is shown. Also loved Friends and Will & Grace. Somehow, we just cannot get interested in Lost - all of our friends love it.

I can watch Entourage more than once. Ari alone is worth it. LOL

I cannot believe All My Children is STILL on!!! 37 years, wow! I used to watch it with my grandmother after school or when I was home sick when I was a kid. She was a witch back then, Erika. Now that I think about it, I guess it is that old. In my christening pictures, my mom and my aunt had on these weird 70's dresses with these hats that had a feather coming out of it. I remember asking my mom a long time ago what made them think they looked good in those and she said it was the "Erika Kane" style....oh Lord!
My brother's hobby is studying the old west. At first, he wouldn't watch Deadwood because he said all the shows glamorize the old west characters and don't portray the period as it existed. He's hooked now. Deadwood is great historical fiction. Rome is another show where all rites, language, dress all historically correct.

I'm really liking Dirt. I love the Don Konkey character.

I miss Deadwood. Hope the movies are good. Al Swearengen is one of the best tv characters ever.

I've been tivo-ing Northern Exposure on HD. That show will never get old to me.

Default TV, etc

For years I was a TV junkie, but in the past couple of years I can't really stand so many of the shows now on. I also became so sick of the jillions of commercials that seem to get more frequent every week. I finally gave up on "Desperate Housewives" (a hoot) for instance, and I'm just gonna wait till it comes out on DVD and get it from Netflix! I feel this way about so many of the shows nowadays! I lean more toward HBO ("Rome" is excellent), and also watching movies (Bless Netflix's heart!!!)

My patience wears thin more easily now that I've reached 100!!

I'm interested in seeing the tv version of This American Life on Showtime. Showtime frustrates the heck out of me. They cancelled Huff & Dead Like Me ... hope TAL sticks. I love the radio show.
