It's turning into a skin flick and I can't understand Spaticus when he speaks.

Not liking this season so far. It is not enough story. Too much skin. The best part of seasons past was the storyline. There is nothing going on here but blood, gutts and sex.

Someone on another board said that this feels like a spin-off instead of Season 2, and I agree. Without Batiatus, Laticia is half the character she was - at least for now. Glaber and Illythia are poor substitutes. I am interested in Crixus, but he plays a minor role, so that may not be enough to keep me. I am going to give it a few more episodes, but I may not hang around past that.

Excellent point. I think I am having a hard time following as well. Not liking the new Spartacus. I guess for me it is hard to replace the original. Too many new characters.

All I can say is give it a shot at least to episode five. Just like the first season it took a few episodes to get it rolling.

The second episode was better than the first. I hope the storyline picks up.

Two things I am not liking.

1)over the top violence. The first season and gods of the arena was violent but this season took it to a whole new level.

2)They are doing way too much slow down matrix type action. Not every other second has to be in slow motion.

Loved it...LOL If you know anything about Ancient Rome - I'm sure incidents such as this were not that far fetched. Caligula anyone?

Weird -- I thought Season 1 had more violence and sex than this season thus far.

Spartacus fans- how has the new season without Andy Whitfield been so far? Have the episodes been comparable to the first season? I read on EW that ratings are up this year.
