That Gold/Rumple guy is pretty nasty looking, though. I may have trouble watching the series just because I can't stand to look at his face.

Excited for next week.
I have to agree about the age thing, she looks to be the same age as the queen, whom also appears in her 30's -40's and then some.

I found the show quite interesting and engaging. The first 10 minutes or so I felt like I was going to gag from seeing so many of the same fairy tales, but when I finally got past the opening parts and into the story and premise of the show, it was good.
I felt like I was watching a movie, and I was waiting to see how it ends. But who knows how long that will take to happen. Which sucks in a way. I hope I don't get sick of waiting for an ending to the time spell and lose interest.
And would I be right to say that the evil witch and Rumpelstiltskin are the only ones who appear to know who they are? Or the evil witch at the least. At first I thought she was under the spell too, but the way she looked at the book and into the mirror... and why would she make herself forget everything?
And I wonder how long the people have been living like that!? Where do they think they came from and who their parents are, etc.?

I'll watch at least one more episode, maybe two, maybe more. We'll see. It's interesting enough!

PS- refering to how long they've been there and who their parents are. Emma is Snows daughter, but they all seem roughly the same age. So where is the time warp there?

I think with the way they are dressing Snow a little matronly as a schoolteacher is supposed to imply that she is older than she looks perhaps. A bit of a stretch (especially for a young actress) but if Demi Moore, Halle Berry, Jennifer Anniston et al can look good at 40+ then why can't Snow White?

They're fairy tale characters! They don't age the same way we do! Besides the whole premise is that they're caught in time, and living in this little city in Maine. So the passage of time, and being stuck in time, are themes that are bound to be brought up often as the show progresses. It will be interesting to see how it's all explained.

As for Snow White's style as the school teacher, it's a little on the geek chic side, but she's still young and hip and cool - so definitely not matronly! And her hair is great!

Somebody should have noticed that in the scene where the two folks on the date ran out into the street after he deliberately flipped that table over, they both had to dodge several cars driving with no lights on!!!!!

I don't know about your town, but I see that in my town all the time. Kind of scary!

I realize they're fairy tales, but I feel like my 6 year old would have understood almost the entire plot line. I'm going to give the next episode a shot to see if it "grows up" some, but at this point I wasn't that impressed.
Yep, that's how I felt and I admit to snickering a little bit when the "fairy" showed up...

Last night's episode was much better. I really enjoyed it and so did my husband, but that being said it was much more grown up and was complicated enough that my daughter would not have understood everything going on.

I think they're overdoing it just a tad on the apples, but I did enjoy last nights episode.
this might be a spoiler, so . . .
Spoiler
When Rumpelstiltskin told Evil Queen that she had to cut out the heart of the person she loved the best, I was so sure she was going to have to cut out her own heart and that's why she is so evil.

Question - is Jimminy Cricket / therapist a good guy or a bad guy?
