The back sure doesn't match the old fashioned hominess the front invokes. The front door doesn't look in the right place. That fireplace is gorgeous! I don't recall ever seeing that.

Juliette is a vet.

Nick and Juliette's house:
805 NE Prescott St - Portland - OR 97211 - Zillow

Sold for $499,900 in Dec. 2011 . Maybe the show owns it.
Juliette is a veterinarian. That is the going rate for one of those houses. It is doubtful that Nick alone would be able to afford that house on his salary alone but if Juliette's practice was successful enough maybe their combined income would allow it.

The house is Juliette's, not Nick's.

I think I may have an answer to the house issue, they are leasing. At least that's the lasted thing I read, how true, not sure.

The house is beautiful, very western Victorian, but I don't think that's the interior the set uses. I think maybe they use the exterior shots and file the interiors on a sound stage.

IDK, that front door is not at an angle on the show like it is on this house. The door also looks different... to me.

No. It's going to be a big brother/little sister relationship, if she sticks around.

As for Juliette's house - the show does not own it. It's privately owned. Interiors are filmed on a sound stage, not in the house itself.

The angle is just the StreetView angle. There's actually a tree right in front of the walkway to the front door, so you can't get a straight-on view to the door.

Most movies and shows are filmed on a sound stage, where there is room for the cameras and other equiptment. Only if its filmed with hand held cameras are normal houses optimal for that part of production. The exception would be Downton Abbey, which really is filmed in a mansion, but then it is a mansion.

I was going to say it's a great looking arts & crafts style house on the based on the interior.
