Default Sweet Genius

Does anyone watch that show? That guy gives me the creeps!

Its a competetion between 3 chefs to come up with a fantastic dessert. They give them something as an "inspiration" and then give them oddball ingredients, and 30 min to concoct something.

Then, the "Sweet Genius" judges them. That guy acts like everyone is beneath him. Ok, I realize its just a TV show, and its all part of the act. But still, come on, there's only so much rudeness should get away with as part of a TV show.

Well, last night, they had 3 chefs to concoct a dessert, and he gave them jelly beans and hot sauce! They were supposed to come up with something with that! They also can choose from other pantry items. Well, one guy tried making a frozen dessert, using a frozen box thing that's supposed to instantly chill/freeze stuff. it didn't come out frozen, WTH do you expect in 30 min? Anyway, the "Sweet Genius" called it a Disaster!

Geez, I felt sorry for the guy, being blasted on TV like that!

So, does anyone else watch that show and feel the "sweet Genius" is some sort of creep?

I watched it once and didn't like it. That Sweet Genius guy creeped me out for sure. I just wish they didn't run the commercials for the show all the time so I wouldn't have to see him.

Hey, I thought perhaps the guy who's dessert was deemed a "disaster" could perhaps leverage off that. I understood they all had their own restaurants, perhaps he could put it on the menu and call it The Disaster--as seen on TV!It would p;ique my curiosity!

I watch the show occasionally and am amazed what these people come up with considering the ingredients they have to work with. I should be such a cook....

I think he has issues, it seems to me if there is a bald contestant, that is the one who wins. I think he does not like women, he is very condescending to females.

You could not pay me enough to be on this show.

I watched a little of it. So this guy no one has ever heard of, is some kind of "genius"? Um ok. And yes, he IS creepy. But it seems all these "chefs" on the Food Network are creepy and look like they need to check in with their parole officer every week.

I watched the first episode - too much over-the-top drama for me, with pushing the button, etc. They act like dessert is life or death... dude, it's just some chocolate! Take a breath.

I generally enjoy competition shows, and I like seeing what chefs can come up with... but this one? Too much.
