Good grief. That "family show" stuff is what the detractors complained about when Chaz Bono was competing.
DWTS will go the way its advertisers go. So, unless the complainants force the advertisers to withdraw their ad dollars, I doubt anything will change. I hope not, anyway.

What spellcheck? I didn't think there was spellcheck on here.
As for a big tease from Tom, there are so many good dancers this season, pretty much any of them going home is a shocker!

When I think about it, some season certain ones hang on longer than you want, but in the end, it usually turns out pretty close to right for the final 3. I love the show, but don't get intense about the finale. I'm usually happy with whoever wins, mirror ball nice, making final 3 not too shabby!

Bristol Palin hung on waaaayyyy too long IMHO....I could think of a few others, but for some reason she annoyed me the most ...after all it is a Popularity Contest first and foremost (to a degree)...

I have to admit that Bristol surprised me somewhat and I actually came to admire her a little bit - however grudgingly. For someone with no dancing in her background, she showed a lot of courage coming out and doing what she did.
I agree, though, that she was kept around long past her sell by date - and I think we can all figure out why without straining too many brain cells.
I figure her mother will show up on the show one of these days - when she thinks she isn't getting enough attention as a FOX contributor (or whatever she is).

I have other methods ...the red squiggly line helps too!
It wouldn't have been a shock to me if
Gladys, Jaleel (because of the rumors of bad behavior), "Train Wreck" Melissa were cut...

Results tonight, no shocker, no surprise. I would have been shocked if any one of the best dancers were voted out.
I thought Tom said Monday night that the "dance off" was to start next week.

Yeah, that's what was said.
I have NO IDEA why that didn't happen.

Ok, thanks TFW and Susan - between the two of you we'll get this dance off thing figured out! I'd like it if they did it like they do over at Idol - after a certain week, up to some pre-defined week, the judges have one save - or in this case, one dance-off.

Hey, hey, hey! That's ok for other people but all of you guys better stay in this for the long haul - I've grown accustomed to watching with you!

Oh good lord please no I agree with you and Tiluha about Bristol being irksome - but somehow impressive early on before she got all teen-eye-rolling

I'm thinking part of it might have been that they didn't want to put Sherri through all that when there was zero chance they'd save her. When they were saying how shocked they were, I think it was just because Roshon shouldn't have been in the bottom - but Sherri looked like she thought they meant she was too good to go home. Man, she was really torn up over going home - don't think I've ever seen anyone that distraught to leave so early in the season.

Sherri is a bit naive and childlike at times. She over emotes. I think most people learn, in growing up, to filter their emotions to adjust to what's appropriate. Sherri has a hard time doing that. That may be why she had a flat(unemotional) face while doing that tango.
I think, because she does not 'screen' her reactions beforehand she has been quoted as saying some strange things, like the earth being flat. Most of us have had a better education than that, but even considering - thinking before I open my mouth has prevented my foot from entering on several occasions.
I have never seen her act except on Raymond, and am thinking that maybe she'd do well as an actress?
