Just started watching for the first time this season and I am kind of underwhelmed. No one is blowing me away, kind of boring. I've seen the super skinny girl with the long dark hair. She was okay. Then the kid with the long curly hair. He was all over the place.

What is tonight's theme?

The year they were born hits. I agree with you BTW, but I do like Elise.

I loved the fact that his voice was so much different than what you'd expect. And, of course, I enjoyed his sense of humor. But he "peaked" way too soon -- in the auditions.

Holy cow, could you ever - he's not a favorite of mine (far from it) but I felt for him tonight - he looked so unsure and sounded so rotten.

I agree P2 was the best by far so far. Elise didn't have much of a chance with me tonight because I love that song and Al Green. I didn't agree with the judges.

Good grief - I forgot Shannon was still here!

ETA: LOL at TFW saying when Heejun peaked! heehee

P2 will probably be in the Top 2.

Shannon should probably have gone home last week. She did much better tonight.

So the theme was year you were born and they could pick ANY song and he picked "my precious love". I'd say that wasn't the smartest song choice.

In fairness - they can't really pick any song apparently - they have a bunch to choose from though (the producers have to pay royalties and yadda yadda). Also, Jimmy suggested that song for him - he was planning something else. But all of them usually blame the year and that just makes them sound like they're FoS.

They are kind of screwed, have to sing a bad song but we dont' want to hear complaints about them having to sing a bad song. Because you are right, it does make them seem whiney.

Wow I don't even know this song.

F'real - this is one of the worst nights. JLo is being all lovey on everyone and it's unwarranted. Everyone is cracking and off key and seeming like they're forgetting their words (part of that is how the show edits the songs for them - but still). Philip is the only one I liked so far.
