This supposedly was the *talent* portion of the "scholarship" competition? Perhaps it is the final word on beauty pageants.

Miss Teen USA
I saw that on Glenn Beck last night and thought it was one of the most hilarious meltdowns that I've witnessed in a long time. Beck said that she would make one hell of a good politician with the way that she tried to evade the question and then completely mangled her answer. Not much different than a certain resident at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. I can't remember the poor girl's name, but honey, you made my night.

Pretty funny and yet so, so depressing... Her language skills, clarity of purpose and deep intellect reminded me of a certain Texan, the resemblance is quite uncanny...
But then again what do you expect from a beauty contest, a competition so shallow it makes my eyes water !
A rather sad indictment on education standards in some schools perhaps. I hope she sticks to familiar subjects like make-up and hair products and the latest fashions. Otherwise we are in trouble.

She came in 4th or 5th, I believe. I'll be quoting from that for a long, long time.

I feel for her, though. This will be tough to live down.

"....I believe that our education like , such as, in South Africa, and, uh, the Iraq, uh, everywhere, like, such as, and............"
