Just as a point of reference Steven Tyler stripped down to his underwear and jumped in the water this week on Idol.

He's a jerk too. Old, ugly has been doper who can't sing, only scream. Never liked 'em. A song or two but that's it.

Default America's Got Talent 2012

On May 14th 2012, a new season of America's Got Talent premiers. It will be brand new. Okay, but with a new judge. Howard Stern is replacing Piers Morgan. This has got to be interesting, as Howard is predicted to act like Simon Cowell on American Idol and The X Factor.

There's already a thread about AGT and Howard Stern.

Yeah but they talk about Howard Stern being the judge, and not the actual show. We've already established that but we need a thread to discuss about this year's show.

From the previews, it appears there are a lot more "circus acts " this year. I never cared for the kids who rode bikes or the fire eaters or what have you. I hope they will continue on with dancers and singers. It's okay if they throw in a magician or two.

My favorite is Terry Fader the ventriliquist. I read his autobigraphy and he is a remarkable person who overcame a lot of adversity but didn't advertise it during the competition to gain sympathy from the audience as some do.

My favorite one so far was when that guy jumped from a high platform into a tiny kiddie pool. Not very smart to do in real life.

There is a place for the H.Sterns of the world, for his wit and humor, but I'm not sure that this show is it.

Stern is probably not doing so well on Sirius (or was it XM?). He needs to keep his brand out there, to branch out.

I liked Piers. I hope Stern will not turn the show into something more absurd than it already is. I don't think the man is particularly honest, just a very old guy with shtick who's trying to make a buck.

I will miss Piers, but he seemed more serious than this show deserved. I hope the change will do well. I liked Regis as the host.
