Especially when the women bring their own one piece swim suit. The producers take that suit and hand them a string bikini.

I like it. Booze could lead to love in the jungle which leads to better ratings!

One of the challenges I have enjoyed in the past is when one of the big box stores supplies the material and the tribes have to build something like a loo or a shelter or a shower. I'd like to see that one come back again.

I got lucky and a neighbor gave me a new unopened season two Survivor Australian Outback! My kids were little when it first aired so they really enjoyed watching classic Survivor, with better challenges and some real surviving going on. One thing my daughter noted is that people wore more modest clothing. This was, of course, the season that introduced many favorites such as Colby and was when Skupin (sp?) fell into the fire.

That was probably my favorite season.
Most of those guys had some character.

Ah the good old days...

The early episodes were much better, IMHO. The contestants had to actually work, most lost significant weight, and if you were lazy, you were gone. No room for the lay-around hand models and future actresses. Now it's more like Bad Vacation rather than Survivor. And I'm always amazed that several people in the first two or three days will say "This is so much harder than I thought." It seems to me it's gotten easier but the contestants in general have gotten stupider. As long as they look good is skimpy clothing, they make the cut (not that I'm complaining about the tiny bikinis - but why do they then blur out any exposed flesh???).

Anyone remember Angie, the one with tats, piercings and an awful swimsuit?

The first time I saw her I was grossed out but ended up cheering for her.

Survivor has turned into a series about a group of folks who go to a really bad resort for vacation.

I really wanted Colby to win season 2, it seems the ones I like rarely win.
