The Bob Newhart show is a 70's show that I would love to rewatch, I can't say that for most of them. Very funny. I also loved the 80's show.

The Bob Newhart show is classic tv----one of the great sitcoms-----certainly most of the "cutting edge" sitcoms of today cannot even remotely compare.

Other shows they could do: Mr. Belvedere, Newhart( 1980s), Alf, Valerie's Family, Perfect Strangers,Eight is Enough, Nanny and The Professor.
And one of the greatest comedies of all time: What a Dummy( LOL)

Remember the last scene from his newer show "Newhart" when he wakes up in bed with Suzanne Pleshsette back in his "Bob Newhart Show" apartment. The premise is that the entire show based in Vermont was a DREAM!!!!

Watched one episode so far and it's watchable. So far I don't like the wife but maybe that will change.

Also I didn't like the things below about watching this show on Hallmark

1. 5 commercials breaks during one episode

2. No Closing credits

To me, the problem with the syndicated version is that the editors speeded up the scenes so that they can get more ads in.

Watch how quickly the characters take their seats, make hand gestures and walk through doors. It's bizarre!
