For years now, I've been utilizing Exercise TV on demand through Time Warner Cable and after a few weeks of not using it, I turned on the TV today to find it gone. Called TWC and they told me to go to sportskool or something like that - totally not the same! No more Jillian Michaels . So disappointing... Does anyone know why they did it and if they'll bring it back again?
Exercise TV as a company has ceased to exist. I miss it, too -- it was a great supplement to my regular workout routines -- and the substitutions my cable company has offered are pretty awful.
You have to wonder where all the content went, though. Someone could surely make money off of it still.
Some of it is on sale through Amazon; I ordered Holly Perkins' Fitness 360 last week. If you know the name of the instructor, you might be able to find it. Also, I believe some of Leslie Sansone's stuff is available through the American Heart Association as well as Amazon.
Oh man that's really sad. The cable companies must not have wanted to pay their prices?
I don't usually complain much about prices for say food or gas but for what I'm paying TWC
Exercise TV or whoever should have been paid enough by them to keep going.
It disappeared from Comcast a few weeks ago. At least they sent subscribers a message letting us know it was going away. There are some workouts under the Sports & Fitness category on Demand but not the Billy Blanks one I liked. I wanted a 30-45 minute cardio/dance workout. Now they all seem to be 5-15 minutes. That's not long enough.
I know I was so sad. I haven't worked out in awhile because if it and I don't have a dvd player for my workout videos :'(
