Ice Road Truckers- oh yeah
Is anyone else hooked on the dash for the cash History Channnel show- Ice road truckers? If I could drive a stick I would be a truck driver hands down, and yes I can drive- just not a stick. oh well I can always watch the show

I love to watch the show,seems only repeats though? any new shows planned?

Reality?
I met & visited with a man who has been a trucker even further North than where the series is taped. He says that in reality it isn't like the show depicts. He said that it isn't that bad at all. If you hate winter and are afraid of the roads, then it would be terrifying, but he said for those of us who are used to driving on winter roads (he is from Montana, as am I) that it isn't a big deal. He said that the show just makes it look that way for ratings & to attract viewers. I agree, it's an interesting show, but now that I know that it isn't "real" it makes me wonder about all reality tv shows. Any other thoughts or knowledge on this?

I was included in the filming of a documentary on a young rising superstar tejano singer while I was in high school. They got her name right and did not alter the physical appearance of the school. Other than that, all make believe. They even staged some fights at the band hall over performance errors to make the musical environment appear more like the tv show FAME. In reality most of the kids were taking band so they wouldn't have to take P.E. and probably never touched their musical instruments outside of band practice. They wouldn't have been aware of a missed note or interested if they did hear it.
