Are some posters here being willful or truly tone deaf? Whether these commercials appeal to you or not, surely any adult posting on this forum can see that it's not just about the wardrobe. Presumably the OP doesn't object to Playtex and Fruit of the Loom and Dove ads that show women in underwear. Each advertiser is going for a specific effect and demographic(s). Clearly VS wants to convey a sexy, sultry image. Playtex, on the other hand, tends not to promote the bend-me-over-this-railing-and-take-me-from-behind image.
Duh Not that a man couldn't be offended by those commercials, but I always think you're a woman but your profile indicates dude. So I missed that you were joking - even though others on here weren't - like pretty much every other poster actually.

I didn't indicate in any way that I was not being serious, so no wonder nobody figured it out.
I'm a women. I don't see anything wrong with the commercials at all. Swimsuit and lingerie modeling are apart of American culture and I don't think it's going away anytime soon.
