Oprah had more than enough money to just retire instead of starting OWN. She could still be in or produce a movie now and then to stay busy. Rosie O'Donnell Show sucked, and so does a lot of the shows they have. I am not surprised by this.
And this is political and/or controversial because.....?
Oprah had remained pretty middle of the road until she made the Obama gaffe'.
Unlike people that post daily on P&OC, most people want to watch TV to be be entertained and not have politics and social enginering crammed down their throat.
She came across as real because she shared her weight problems with the world. I wonder how she feels about the latest scapegoat being obesity. I think she was one of the pioneers in overcoming the race issues and along comes Obama and divides the country.
And at the same time we have jobs leaving the country and poverty on the rise here, she makes major investments in other countries. I admired the things she did but wondered why she wasn't trying to help the people that gave her what she has. We are told that people aren't given enough opportunities here, so why did she take her wealth to another country.
I have tuned in to her network a few times but I don't find much to hold my attention. It's sad.

Oprah is in the top half of the one percent. The dems love Oprah and the rich hollywood crowd.. They have many mansions all over the world. As long as it is a rich democrat the liberals love them.

Isn't Oprah's Network the same as "The Infidelity Story" Network? I thought they were the same, maybe I'm mistaken. I also think that the producers of "Ancient Aliens" own the H2 network rather than the other way around but I might be wrong about that too.
