Of course, they're both 'old' by now... but which do you prefer?

Depends which new Twilight Zone you're referring to.. the 8os reboot, or 2002 reboot (hosted by Forrest Whitaker) ?..
I think the 8os series was better than the 9os Outer Limits, (but Outer Limits was much better than the Whitaker-hosted Twilight Zones.)

The 9os Outer Limits had some killer episodes. It's one of my favorite syndicated series..

New Outer Limits is much better than either "new" Twilight Zones. However, the original Twilight Zone can't be beat.

Watch the original Twilight Zone all time on television and while this doesn't answer OP's question, feel nothing tops the first.

Maybe it was the quality of actors and or directors. Maybe something to do with the eerie black and white filming on studio lots, but the show just gets me in ways none of the modern reboots did.

To this day watching "Night Caller" makes me want to go to bed with all the lights on and if phone rings during middle of night, jump several feet into air...

I hear ya, I feel the same way. Nothing beats the old B&W episodes, itís jist a different feeling entirely while watching. Night call is one of my favorite TZ episodes and I canít imagine in being better in modern color than it is in its original black and white format...

They both are pale imitations of the Originals and the same in name only. They were both groundbreaking series never to be equaled. The original TZ with Rod Serlings intros, the fabulous acting soundtracks and stories was a much watch, there was nothing like it. The original OL was incredible, with world class cinematography by the one of the greatest of all times Conrad Hall. The acting, music, the one of a kind brilliant intro were never to be duplicated. All these reboots show a total lack of creativity on TV. Just rehashing old shows with pathetic imitations calculated to make money and take no risks.
