Shonda must be a Joni fan. Ellis' hair even looked like Joni's in the "carousel" flashbacks. I really expected to hear this at some point:

I thought last night was going to be the end but no...previews from next week. I was hoping it was the end.

This last episode should've been the last one period. So much randomness and timeskipping - not too many shocking thing left to throw at a cast and a story that has seen just about everything. It is as trite as a day time soap.

Huh. I really liked it.

Anyone else notice the starting "Grey's Anatomy" title screen's background was black instead of white this time?

The show had me in almost-tears in the first 5 minutes.

And when Caterina Scorsone (Amelia) - who I haven't really liked since she came onboard - finally had her breakdown on the patio in front of Owen, I thought her acting was outstanding. Outstanding.

Planned on switching to The Blacklist at 9 but I watched the 2nd hour of Grey's. And glad I did.

I dislike episodes that span a year or more in the space of one episode. Poor writing IMO.

I had to cringe at the size of that "new born's" head. All I could think of was ouch!!! I'd still be pushing!

I, too, thought Amelia's breakdown was very well done.

I really didn't mind the one-year-in-two-hours scheme - did we really want to suffer through Meredith's pregnancy angst? I'm glad it's done. Judging from the size of that baby, no doubt Meredith is as well.

At least it was a C section. Otherwise ... indeed. You'd think they could have used one of those realistic little newborn dolls.

I wouldn't have minded it to get the all the grief and conflict out of the way an move on. But she didn't do that, so huge failure.

Amelia's breakdown was pretty much the only scene last night that did anything for me. I got really tired of the Meredith/Ellis, little Mer/Zola, carousel thing over and over. And frankly, I had a feeling last week when Derek died that she was pregnant. So when she disappeared, I pretty much figured out why. No big shocker.

But Amelia ... wow! Man she was good! Not surprising though. She was outstanding on Private Practice! I really love Caterina Scorsone. She's a great actress. I hope she moves on to something great after Grey's.
