That might've made an interesting twist to his having been there for Izzy before her own diagnosis of cancer.

You know that Denny is dead, right? He wasnt there for Izzy. Izzy was hallucinating him because of her brain condition.

I was very worried that we (the audience) would not know who lived and who died until the new season and I hate not knowing! I'm glad we found out.

I doubt they were do a death cliffhanger 2 years in a row. They would be lame.

Instead, this allows the writers to kind of work with a clean slate.

This show could really use a good shake up. They tried this season with the Mercy West Doctors, adding Derek as Chief, and dropping Izzy but it didnt really work. They need to do something new this coming season and shake things up. This show is starting to bore me.

I was on the Facebook fan page the night of the finale and a lot of people said the finale might have been the producers way of making up for a pretty boring season.

I was more interested in Private Practice the last season than Grey's Anatomy. I was glued to the tv with Private Practice whereas if I missed Grey's Anatomy I didn't really care nor did I log on to abc.com and watch an episode.

I can't stand Private Practice. It tries way too hard when in reality every single episode follows the same exact formula. My wife told me what happened in the finale and I didnt care for their little twist. They let go the most normal person on the show.

In my opinion, the problem with where Grey's Anatomy has gone is:

1. The new characters aren't interesting. The pediatrician, the head of cardio, the mercy west, lexie can be dull at times and even Owen at times is like a lost teen for example. They are all dull compared to someone like Burke, Addison and the original cast, which leads me to:

2. Most of the old characters that are still around have mellowed out to become boring. Miranda and Sloan are a mere shadow of their former selves. Christina's about the only one in my opinion, whom is still recognizable.

3. The humor, the drama and the hospital. There has always been a lot of drama, but the show used to throw in a lot of amusing situations. Now the humor is so scarce. And even the drama used to be split between personal relationships and the difficulty of being a doctor in a busy hospital. I remember when the young doctors would form bonds with a patient and if the patient passed away, you would feel sad for them. Now the hospital is too often the background and the patients are just props.

I kind of agree. However, I thought Burke was a pretty dull character. Arizona Robbins is one of the better characters on the show now, at least I think so. Owen is a little odd but I wouldnt call him dull. The Mercy West crew were very dull and added nothing to the show which is why they are dead now.

I agree with the rest completely. At this point, I am only watching the show because I have watched it since episode 1. I really hope they do something to shake things up for next season.

She took a job at another hospital and divorced Alex.
