GA will be on for at LEAST one more season after 2010-2011...with Meredith. Beyond that, we don't know for sure, probably depends on ABC...ratings and whether they can get enough core characters to stay. Teddy would have to have insurance coverage that covers preexisting conditions for him to get his most important medical needs taken care of. She might have to pay something for adding a spouse on it, but I'm sure she can afford that. The health care act that passed had something about requiring coverage of pre-existing conditions, but not sure when that kicks in. When my present health coverage took effect, it said pre-existing stuff was covered after a short time...don't remember exactly how long...but not very long.

The actress that plays Meredith reminds me of a person that thinks she is some super actress but when she is off of the show that made her a star she is quickly forgotten. I am thinking along the lines of the Mark Greene character on the original ER cast.

She had a kid and I saw her on a talk show where she talked about moving to Italy. Sounded like she wanted to be a Mom and do different things.
But I googled and to the rumors that she wasn't coming back she said that what she meant was that she probably wouldn't renew at the end of her contract after season 8.

Anthony Edwards had done things before ER, I knew him before ER from Northern Exposure although others knew him more from the movie Top Gun, and I'm pretty sure has done things after. Although it looks like he has had better luck producing than acting of late.
Still even if I don't agree to the example there certainly are actors and actresses who are basically just known for one role and one role alone. I think many of the actors on MASH didn't really do anything notable besides MASH. Although a few of her movies did okay, and I guess those Brady movies did well, Shelley Long's image I think is always going to be mostly Diane on Cheers. I think she thought she'd be bigger, which is maybe understandable as she was fairly good in Irreconcilable Differences which looks maybe earlier than Cheers, in film than she ended up being. Going back to ER I'm not sure if Eriq La Salle has done much of anything big since, although he was in the film Coming to America previous to it.

That would be so nice to have the financial freedom to do that! Good for her. Sounds like we can count on one more season after this one!

I was really sad to see Callie slam the door on Arizona. I liked them together as a couple. And I don't think Mark is really serious about Callie, anyway. Maybe if Mer leaves the show it will still be Grey's Anatomy, since little Grey is still there.

I miss my shows! Whatever happened to lots of reruns in December, anyway? I just can't stand to watch the Christmas shows this year!

Of course I never thought it could be Greys without George and that was Okay but no Mer or christina would be bad for me. I love their relationship. Too bed about Callie and Arizona, great couple. Mark needs to be with little Grey
