I watched it. I thought the whole beginning (sinkhole) thing was kind of lame - but I really did enjoy the second hour which was more about the characters themselves.

I will tune in next week.

^ Just in case anybody DVR'd it. I thought it was the best scene in the whole show.

I'll say this, Christina can go on for weeks without causing a ripple, but when they give Sandra Oh a challenge, she really delivers.

I couldn't decide whether to watch Greys or the new Person Of Interest. I toggled back and forth for weeks. Glad I picked Greys, and I will stay with it. I think they are re-running POI tonight, I may watch it to see what I missed, but it doesn't appear to have lived up to the hype.

I wanted to wait until I got a chance to watch the whole thing before really commenting. I think, first of all, that it's a good thing that they focused more on the long-term characters this time. I'm glad they tried to stand up for each other again...well, most of them. I love the Christina/Owen story...some real good stuff there, the best part of all this! The Chief stepping up for Meredith...well, guess that's good, but the writers just shouldn't have gone there with putting Meredith in that situation in the first place! I don't think that should have ever been done. Somehow, it just didn't ring true. April...still lame, has her good points, but for the most part still just irritating and useless. Alex still needs to grow up and learn how to be a better person, but probably never will consistantly be that person. Lexxie and Avery, still don't like it much, but guess he's better for her than Mark or Alex. Derek...disappointing to see that side of him, too bad. I'll wait and see, much has gone downhill about the show...hoping the real GA will somehow materialize...at least for this season.

I know! She's amazing!

I usually have a hard time deciding which character is best -- Christina or Bailey. This week it was all Christina. Bailey was written much too caricaturish but Christina had real depth and poignancy.

I've got Person of Interest on the DVR for this weekend. With such a great cast, I'll give it a while to come into its own, even if the first episode doesn't live up to the hype.

To be honest I haven't watched this show since the called-off wedding between Christina and Burke. So I've missed a lot . Sometimes I read the boards or see something on the entertainment sites but I truly don't have any passionate interest at this point about the show.

A curiosity, though: I am assuming that Mer/Der's baby is adopted? Is she
unable to have a baby herself? I remember reading something about her character being pregnant and then she lost the baby when she thought Derek had been killed, but I don't know if she can't get pregnant now or whatever the story line was with getting the little girl.

Zola is a baby with Spina Bifida who was among a group of children brought over from Africa for treatment. Alex's project, actually, when he thought he should do something to advance his chances for promotion. Meredith and Derek "adopted" her purely on a temporary basis, but then because they loved her, they applied for actual adoption. They had been having difficulty having a baby of their own...and yes, Meredith miscarried previously.

I have watched it from the beginning and was hoping for the old feeling but it seemed too farfetched and unbelievable. Man cutting off wifes leg in a hole, yeah right.

Agreed, hate it when the shows do crazy things. But the man didn't cut off his wife's leg. He couldn't do it which is why the doc went down to finish it off

I enjoyed the show. I thought the abortion scene was over the top. I didn't think the scene was needed.

I started losing interest last year, like many of you. I watched this past week, but started to pay more attention to the computer than the show. I will continue for a bit more but not sure I will last all season.
