Good point detshen. Even things like sloth and gluttony, in the appropriate dose can translate to resting and eating!

My thoughts exactly, it's all about moderation.

How do you think Ben compares to Brad, Jake, Jason, and the other Bachelors? He was the least attractive, but otherwise, were they more dynamic and interesting and upstanding than him? The only bachelor I kind of liked was that English guy whose name escapes me. Maybe it was Matt and he chose Shane Llamas. I can't think of any other that wowed me. I am trying to remember if other bachelors were as disliked as Ben. I do remember the Jason fiasco, but that's about it.

Yeah, didn't get them at all. It was very obvious Ben was going to pick Courtney. The fact he didn't 'stand' by her in the end I think they have no chance.

Exactly, I think that Ben did the one thing to her that she could never forgive and that is being abandoned. Especially since she actually spoke about it on the show.

Ben just did not make himself look good at all by walking away when the press became relentless. To me its says that whenever things get rough in the relationship/marriage/with children Ben will runaway like a coward. And for Courtney to have given the ring back was a MAJOR sign about the true nature and extent of the break-up. Giving back the ring is not just a "we're working a few things out" move its more of a "let's call the whole thing off" type of statement.

Seriously, the other girls dodged a bullet by not "winning". Ben did them the biggest favor and you could see that on most of their faces during the Women Tell All. They are the lucky ones. Even Lindzi doesn't seem unhappy about not being "the one" for Ben. He's no catch at all.

I thought Brad was sexy. Jake and Jason were not even close to anything I would be attracted to - Jake was swarmy, and Jason was too whiny for me. But I liked Ben!

But do we know for sure that she even got to take the ring home with her, after the proposal? I've read before that if the couple breaks up, the ring has to be returned to ABC - and in fact, this little item seems to confirm that Emily returned her ring to ABC. Basically ABC owns the ring, until and unless there's an actual wedding - and that point, it would belong to the woman.

I guess I always sort of assumed it was something the woman would get, once the show had aired, and she could actually wear it - but maybe I'm wrong? Maybe Courtney went home with it, and then returned it? And if that's the case, then yeah, that is a fairly serious break-up.

I liked him as well and followed through after I watched an episode of Bachelor 12. Happy when he chose Shane, I think they're good together. There was another guy, a doctor who ended up with a kindergarten teacher (I forgot both their names) who also seemed down to earth.

Shayne Lamas (actress and daughter of Lorenzo) and Matt Grant (the handsome Brit) lasted only a hot second. It was obvious that Shayne just wanted to up her celeb status in Hollywood. They split shortlt after, of course.

I did a research on this and you're right, even found more disappointing factoids! Thanks for sharing...no more bachelor shows for me!
