I associate Hee-Haw with having a babysitter. It must have been on TV on a Friday or Saturday night because I remember watching it with my sister while eating Libby Land TV dinners because our Mom and Dad were going out and we had a sitter!
It was a corny show, very popular, ripe for it's era, took your mind off the craziness of the day, and if you're a redneck, or not, you'll enjoy the humor.

LOL...me too. My grandmother and great aunt would make us watch the show when they babysat us.

Exactly. Right around the time the comedies like, green acres, the beverly hillbillies, petticoat junction, we're becoming popular.
I'm a Tennessee boy who was living up north when it came out. Dad was in The Army stationed somewhere up there.
I caught hell for the way I spoke and, for two years my life was miserable. Hee Haw was a slice of home I looked forward to every week. I still love that show!!
