Maybe it's because my wife was born there, but it seems to me that "Argentina" and "Buenos Aires" are the most often mentioned places in movies and TV shows (usually where criminals go to get away from U.S. law enforcement).

My favorite shows now include NCIS & White Collar and both mention Argentina numerous times.

Regardless of the type of show, what countries/foreign cities do you hear mentioned most in TV/movies?

Yeah, it seems like there's go-to countries or cities where crime shows are concerned. The ones I hear most are:

Columbia
Juarez
Cayman Islands
