Totally Agree with Robert Downey JR.

However...and stay with me here...

I was watching "My name is Earl" the other day and their was a guest appearance by Christian Slater and I suddenly thought about "two and a half men"

He would be perfect. I bet it would definitely take it to the next level.

Ashton Kutcher is a big miss.

Although he would be great, a TV show could never afford Robert Downey Jr.

I had lost interest in this show long ago; but my son enjoys it and we'll probably tune in to see what the new show looks like. I am curious.

That's because he's hoping to make an appearance as a guest in the future. Seriously. He said that in an interview.

He's not in touch with reality. Maybe they'll have him as a guest in the distant future but he's nuts if he thinks they'll have him back soon.

Charlie Sheen was making $2+ million per episode. Surely even someone as awesome as Robert Downey Jr would consider that kind of salary, especially for the opportunity to work with great writers on one of the highest-rated shows on TV.

I think the producers went with Ashton Kutcher because they wanted someone a lot cheaper than Charlie. I read that Ashton is getting @ $600,000 per episode.

Downey gets around $12 million per movie for several weeks worth of work. TV shows require several months worth of work.

And network TV just doesn't have the prestige for actors that movies do. Between that, the payscale, and the work schedule, it's the reason why so many stars quit TV for the movies once they make it big. You get ten times the money for 1/10th the work. Who wouldn't jump on that ship?

I am. I still like the other actors on the show, and I do like Ashton, just not sure if he will fit into this show. But I'm willing to give it a chance.

I'm watching the premiere right now, and I have to say Ashton's entrance was awesome! I nearly jumped off the bed!
