Desperate Housewives
Love the show but am already tired of the "cattiness" of the new neighbor Katherine (Dana Delaney) and Bree. Anyone else?

Love the show too but just tired of the cattiness and ridiculousness altogether. Catherine comes across as a psycho. Do you think she caught her husband doing something to her kid and killed him and then skipped town?

That's what I was thinking, either sexual or physical abuse.
Did you notice that Eva Longoria listed her name in the opening credits as Eva Longoria Parker?? How sweet!!

I noticed that too. I actually like the storyline - - someone to challenge Bree's neighborhood identity. The storyline I don't care for is Edie and Carlos.

I don"t care for the Lynette storyline.....I think that the show was fun and light and not meant to be a big drama show. My husband and I watch it for the unbelievable things those women do and the situations they get into but making her suffer from cancer just makes the show a little too serious and not campy fun as it has been.

I agree, the cancer storyline is uncomfortable to watch despite the fact that it is something that touches everyone at some point in time. It is also looking like the new neighbors are going to have a storyline regarding chld abuse, like 5FLgirls mentioned-which is actually kind of odd considering last year they had a possible pedophile as a neighbor and they basically brought that one to a screeching halt. I hope they arent going to start using all the tired old soap opera cliches, with Edie blackmailing Carlos, Bree's fake pregnancy-(although, I have to admit, i'm beginning to like Orson a lot more,) oh, and Mike HAD amnesia, cross that one off the list! They are getting some competition this year with a couple of the new shows, "Dirty Sexy Money", and "Big Shots", so I think they ought to stick with what they do best, and cool it with beginning to have a social conscience.

Exactly mystic!!!! Amnesia, fake pregnancy, possible bigamy, attempted murder, blackmail, ......lol.......... Dynasty for the 2000's.
Keep the camp....leave the seriousness for the dramas and give us back our laughs at these "over the top characters"!!!!!

I thought there was some pretty funny writing going on in last night's episode - I loved the scene of Gabrielle and Lynette waiting in the wig shop - when she gets to the man's wig, and says, "the friendly guy from work" I couldn't contain the laughter - I was still cracking up after the commercial break remembering that. The storyline with the "critters" is so funny also - what isn't funny is Teri Hatcher's character's neurotic behavior. It is too contrived. No one acts like that in real life - is it just a poorly written part, or is she over acting??
