Well, at least MTV, VH1, or TLC didn't try The Real Munsters!

As bad as that 1980s remake was ("The Munsters Today"), they at least looked like the original Munsters.

This modern version looks terrible!

Haven't watched it, but the photos all looked very disappointing to me.

I understand they wanted to go a different direction with it, but then why even try to connect it to "The Munsters" unless you're desperate for publicity? I guess I answered my own question.

Also, it does seem to miss the entire point of the characters in the original series. Some of them look completely normal. Marilyn, the "normal one" in the original show, actually looks the most bizarre in this one, since she's wearing a dress you might expect to see in the early 1960's. Shouldn't they have made her look "normal" in 2012, rather than 1960?

Has anyone actually watched the preview? It looks awesome.

I just don't understand the reasoning behind many of the comments. On the one hand, people are saying, "This just proves TV is out of ideas." Yet when the creators actually do something different and creative with the idea, other people scream about it being different from the original. So you're annoyed that it isn't original, but even more annoyed that it is different from the original.

Although I wasn't thrilled when I first heard of a Munsters remake, when I heard it was Bryan Fuller remaking it, I knew it would be interesting. This is the guy behind Dead Like Me, Wonderfalls, and Pushing Daisies --- some of the best TV shows of the past 10 years.

I have little doubt that this show will be awesome, the most creative TV show of the season, and the network will give it no chance. So you can all go back to watching Dancing with the Has-Beens and whatever Donald Trump is doing to stroke his ego these days.

I LOVED Pushing Daisies and Dead Like Me so I will certainly watch this re-imagining of the Munsters. I cannot be as bad as the 80's version Munsters Today.

You should check out Wonderfalls. I think it's Fuller's best work.

For the people comparing The Munsters Today to the NBC pilot, the 1980s version included majority of the original cast,

Why not try coming up with their OWN idea that's not based on anything from the past?
