Know who came up with the idea for "I've Got A Secret?" It was Allan Sherman, of "Hello Muddah" fame. I learned this when I read his autobiography when I was around 15 or 16 years old. He confessed that he blatantly stole the idea from "What's My Line" and was shocked to find himself the "producer" of the show. Being the producer he related, consisted of him standing around the set all day, and if he saw two guys moving a set of light to stage left, he would say "Okay, you two guys move those lights to the left."
Pretty interesting read. The guy lived a hell of a life.
Thank you for sharing these, Labonte18.
Interestingly, in a somewhat analogous vein: By sheer coincidence, I happened to be situated across the street from where John Lennnon died when he died (on a Monday evening, December 8, 1980). I shared the details of this event in one or two past postings of mine on C-D.com.
