The Andy Griffith Show
OH Man, I was going through some old boxes of movies I had packed away, and I have the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th season that was given to me as a gift. I never opened them.
I started watching them last week. Man, I didn't realize how much I like that show. Brings back memories, good memories.
Anyone else like that show?

One of the main channels I watch is TVland with Andy, Beaver, etc.
My S/O thinks I watch these shows because maybe I want to go back and live in the past but the truth is, I like these shows.
Wish the newer shows were like this and not so stupid.

Andy Griffith show ROCKS!!! Best one that involves Ernest T Bass-Trying to get him cleaned up and mingle with Mayberry's Hoity Toity set. "How do you do Mrs. Wiley!" In the believe it or not department, Howard Morris (Ernest T Bass) produced several of the shows; sadly, not that one.Fortunately, or unfortunately, he looks just like the president of my homeowners association. "No coffee, tea, or punch thank you!"

Actually I like the really goofy 1967 color episodes. Sometimes if you are at home sick, just watching these shows makes you feel better...
My personal favorite as a child in the 60s is "Lost In Space" which is also very family-oriented.

YUP, thank goodness for TVLand! When I watch, I have fond memories of my Pop belly-laughing at Barney, and that pain Aunt Bee.
I recently saw the one where Opie went to the rich-boys summer camp, and Andy told him to be himself, but Andy put on Airs for the rich Dads. A serious theme, but a good epi!
Green Acres is another fav. I do love Ol-li-var and Ralph and Ralph

My favorite Andy Griffith episodes:
*When Mr. Tucker is driving through Mayberry, and has car problems. He stays at Andy's house while Gomer takes his car to the garage....he's flabbergasted that the entire town allows 2 old biddies to monopolize the telephone line. He can't understand the relaxed, laid-back atmosphere - being a high-powered executive, and all. But by the time Gomer brings his car back, purring like a kitten, he doesn't want to leave Mayberry! (Who would?) He pretends to hear something else wrong so he can stay. The last shot shows him dozing on the porch, after peeling an apple....
*I also like the one where Barney finds an "Aladin's Lamp," which he thinks will grant 3 wishes. He, along with Goober and Floyd, conducts a seance and conjures up a Count Vandeleke...hilarity ensues...
Those are my 2 favorite episodes.
I also like the one where Thelma Lou finds out Barney said she was "in his back pocket," and she decides to make him jealous, by pretending to date Gomer.
I don't particularly care for the ones with Ernest T. Bass, or the Darlins.
I much prefer the episodes with the "regular" cast members.......

AW, I am so glad I am not alone. I have been watching a couple episodes every night.
Green Acres and Leave it to beaver too are some of my favorites. But, Andy Griffith is my all time favorite. The simple times, just great shows.

I like the "Mr. Tucker" episode too! My favorites are the older black and white episodes. Yes, those were the good ole days, will we ever get them back?
