Can't believe no one said Vera from Cheers. Her face was never seen, at least not covered in cream pie.

On Magnum PI, the owner of the estate Robin Masters was the phantom character. Never seen or heard. Rarely, he was on the other end of a phone call. There were hints late in the series that Higgins actually was Masters, but anyone who watch the show from the beginning knows that is very unlikely.
