But he buried something right? Or am I wrong...he just dug a hole maybe??
You're not wrong. Doug did bury Rachel or so it would appear. Since you really can't see her entire face there's been some fan speculation that this is not the real Rachel, that Doug let her live and put someone else in her place. I don't buy it. I think it's the real Rachel.
Im so happy Clair is leaving Frances. lol Can you imagine if that happened in real life. Think is Michelle told Obama .." I'm leaving you Barack"..
What do you guys think his reaction will be like? He is such a sociopath ( Frank...not Obama... ) haha
Doug and Rachel were out in the middle of nowhere in the desert. There was a shot of part of a head with longish red-orange hair in the hole as Doug was filling it with dirt. There was no one else around. It had to have been Rachel.
That said, I'm glad that storyline is over. But I didn't find season 3 nearly as interesting as 1 or 2. I guess we will see where the writers take this next. Claire running for the presidency against Francis could be good.
I haven't come across any reviews praising Season 3, at least in comparison to the first two seasons. I am not enjoying the Claire vs. Frank dynamic at all. It is so phony. I can understand some tensions and some fights, but let's be real. When do first wives leave their presidential husbands and cause a hoopla? Claire is way too smart for that. It just seemed pretty cheap on behalf of the show makers, like they needed to go out with a bang.
She'll run for President. She kept saying she would when she didn't think he'd win. That she'd have a better chance.
They kept mentioning she was more popular than him in polls, but that's as First Lady. I don't see how she could win. Her only 'experience' is a short time as Ambassador, and she resigned that post.
Well, I think it may be the "jump the shark" phenomenon in play. I guess we'll see.
You know, I think tv execs sometimes want to illustrate how theirs shows mirror real-life snippets of the era. I wonder if Hilary Clinton's running for president (not this campaign, the 2008 one) provided any inspiration. Or maybe I watch too much Mad Men.
Season 3 did fade a bit....but it's still one of the better shows out there. I kind of hope they wrap it up this season since I think it has run its course.
