I just finished reading
Shopping, Seduction & Mr. Selfridge by Lindy Woodhead | PenguinRandomHouse.com.

It gave a good overview of Mr. Selfridge's life. It explained how women's fashion drove so much of that type of retailing. It also detailed some of the major events in Harry's life encorporated in the series. Some things in the show are portrayed quite differently from life for dramatic effect but the real story seemed quite dramatic, too, especially regarding his children.

The book details the downward spiral that probably won't be seen on the show.

It made me wonder if Harry had be glimpse of the end, would he have done things differently....
