I like both of those shows but I like King of Queens a lot more. To me, Doug and Carrie on King of Queens are just hilarious. That was some great casting when they chose Leah Remini to play Kevin James wife. Those two truly make me laugh...lol. Arthur is a riot! He's so hilarious...lol. I think Jerry Stiller did a great job in that role. Even some of the other side characters are funny, like Doug's nerdy friend Spence for example. I think the writing on that show was better than Raymond overall.

On Raymond, the dynamic between Ray and Debra and Ray's parents is pretty funny stuff too. Frank is my favorite on that show. He's a piece of work...lol. I watch re-runs of King of Queens often and Raymond every once in a while.

I've known this for a while, but I remember before I found out, I kept thinking how much they resembled each other and HAD to be related. But I was confused because of how they were credited (name-wise). LOL

Adding to KOQ tidbits, Spence's (second actress) mother Veronica is Arthur's real life wife. Also, Ben Stiller (their son) played Arthur's father in a flashback, and their daughter played Veronica's mother in an early episode (before Anne Meara played Spence's mother, she had a role as a woman from the Senior Center)

I love the King of Queens but don't care much for Raymond. I just always felt KoQ appealed to me more.

There are two episodes of 'Everybody Loves Raymond' every morning on Channel 4 here in England. The mother Marie is great. It's funny, and sometimes quite touching. Good writing, and very enjoyable.

I didn't realize what a dumb azz Ray was, how macho dumb he was to Debra, or how mean Carrie was, and how stupid Doug was. And don't get me started on Carrie's father, Arthur! I'da shot him long ago. I do like all the actors of both shows except for Ray Romano. What a tool.
Raymond I've never like. It's just about a manipulative mother, the olderone, and the son she's spoiled into being a big grown up baby. It's not entertaining to me, just frustrating.

But King of Queens. Very funny inmy opinion. Okay, the father in law is the worst for sure, but shoot him? Nah, I'd just leave him on a park bench and run like helll! LOL!

We both watch Everbody Loves Raymond but my husband doesn't like King of Queens.
I can't stand Arthur and will change it if he's on very long, he's just not funny to me.
