Don't think it will work (at least not for me). Saul was/is good as a foil-type character in Breaking Bad. But as a main character? I don't think so.......

Now maybe a series with Mike as a main character........

That was my first thought as well. As much as I love Breaking Bad and Saul Goodman, giving Saul his own show feels rather like strapping on the skis in preparation for some shark jumping. I'd much rather Vince Gilligan go do something entirely new. He mentioned in an interview that he'd love to do a Western.

But who knows? If it happens, maybe it'll be great. I'll definitely tune in for the first few episodes.

I think it could work as a half hour comedy. I'd give it a chance.

I'd have to tune in to see how it was but I don't think he could carry a show either.

For "Breaking Bad" experts, a question:

Was Gus a homosexual? I may have missed something (and probably did), but his apparent lack of interest in women and his first cook/friend/"brother" who was shot in Mexico makes me believe so. The answer will probably be "Duh, of course he was" or "no because.........".

Vince Gilligan says they left his purposefly vague. He likes to give 2 + 2, then let the audience figure out 4.

But yeah, I think Gus was gay.

I love Saul, both the character and the actor who plays him so well, but I doubt he could carry a show. Plus the sleaze factor would be just too high to be palatable for an entire hour, or even a 1/2 hour.

I can't remember the name...I saw a preview about a guy being released from jail, and they mentioned it was from the creator of BB.
