I wouldn't have minded Babe so much if she'd not known about the babyswitch. That would have made the whole storyline less maddening and frustrating, not to mention less insulting to the viewer when the entire town bent over backwards to sympathize with her. Babe would have been a great multi-faceted character if she had not been a carbon copy of her mother.
Yes.
If someone different would have played Babe, maybe I would have like her more.
The writing for those two characters was very far fetched.
In all the years Susan Lucci has appeared on All My Children, I would think she had the clout to convince ABC to keep it on the air.
They could have at least been honest with her about their plans to cancel AMC.....instead of assuring her the rumors of cancellation were not true. They treated her horribly.
I don't think she actually had an abortion - I believe she's got the baby (child) hidden away somewhere.
I'm only on Monday's show, so if anything new along those lines has come out, I'm not aware of it yet.
Edited: Ok, I've watched all of Monday's show now and Griffin, in a conversation with Cara, refers to the abortion story as "the lie." So.....anybody know where the baby is?

Wonder if Cara's baby has anything to do with Tad's "assignment"? Although one would think his assignment would be more important than that to keep him away from Dixie.
I know he "died" 20 years ago, but dang, it's good to see him. LOL
I know. I agree.
Hey! A little Billy Clyde trivia - do you know who he is married to in real life (no fair peeking if you don't)?
It might be common knowledge, but to me it's always been kind of a fascinating coupling - not a predictable match-up, in my opinion.
Also, if I remember correctly, Matthew stayed home (on a farm, if I also remember correctly), while his wife has been pretty much the breadwinner while their two daughters were growing up. Also, I seem to remember, that despite television being pretty much their bread and butter, they didn't have a television in their home.
Anyway, for me, they seem to be the embodiment of "opposites attract" (or maybe it's just a tribute to their acting that makes me think they are an "odd couple").

Yep, but I won't spill the beans.
I seem to recall that while he was staying home with the kids, he also was very active in local theater in Connecticut where they live. That's pretty cool.
If you've ever seen Slap Shot with Paul Newman (best hockey movie ever!!!), Matthew Cowles plays the team's equipment manager.
