Watched this and it was pretty good. Liked that it was presented as a sequel to The Avengers. Right after that we watched the netflix disk of Ironman 3. Also a sequel to The Avengers! Both were pretty good.
I really liked it. My only complaint was a minor one: Joss Whedon's dialogue tends to snark. Most of it is okay, but in that 60 minute show, there were at least 4 or 5 lines where the writer was just trying to hard. It hits the ear so hard it draws me out of the story.

Agree with the above highlighted comments, but, I will watch again to see if it improves.
I was so bored, I stopped watching about 2/3 the way through.
I left it on, but started in on catchng up on Facebook, etc. at about the same time. I'll tune in again next week and I hope the show gets better than it was last night.
I really enjoyed it. The premiere episode of a show is often a little uneven, and I am sure it will improve with time. Warts and all, it was still way better than most of the dreck on TV these days.
I wonder if Coulson will turn out to be a clone or something. They're hinting at a larger story there, that I'm sure will be revealed as we go along.
We think alike. I was thinking the same thing.
