Can someone please give a short recap?? I was sick and went to bed early... I'm guessing
there was no "great reveal" or people wouldn't still be speculating about Red/Dad/Uncle or whatever
his relationship may be to Lizzie.

Thanks!

Spoiler
Lizzie's father was dying of cancer, expected to live maybe 6 weeks and Liz's hubby was arriving soon to see him, and Lizzie herself would be there the next day. Red sat beside his bed and they were having a great old time reminiscing. Dad wanted to tell Lizzie the truth, Red said he couldn't let him do that. Red got up and leaned over him telling him he'd always be Lizzie's father and telling him what a good influence he had on her. Very touching scene.

Then he quickly snatched the pillow out from under her dad's head and smothered him with it. Horrifying!

When he quit struggling, Red gave him a very long, tender kiss on the forehead. Very touching.

When Liz's hubby got there they told him Dad was dead. Red sat down at his table and struck up a conversation. Hubby was struggling with how to tell her. Red gave him some advice and told him Lizzie would be fine. She'd need some time, but he was certain she'd be just fine. Hubby got a strange look on his face at that point, but didn't ask how Red was so sure or anything like that.

I can't tell if most of you missed the fact that the man was her adoptive father.

Understood that. But she calls him Dad, and we're not sure who her real father is, so Dad he is.

No it wasn't. Not for sure.

I don't know about anyone else, but my favorite scene last night was Lizzie's husband and Red having their little conversation. The statement beneath the innocuous conversation, that Lizzie would always be protected, that someone would be watching those closest to Lizzie, was really quite threatening. And it was meant to be threatening, not comforting. And Lizzie's husband didn't look comforted at all.

Yeah but I felt so bad for Lizzie's father and I was pissed when he was killed by Red. I hope Red will be killed later in the show, he is a scumbag. I also don't buy that there is something about the husband, I like him and doubt he will be someone sinister.

I like him a lot. I hate Red though, hopefully he will be killed soon. I hate him, he pisses me off. I like Liz very much, she is a good person and is attractive.

Megan Boone is hot!

Well they're not about to kill off the star of the show. If it was just about this dysfunctional FBI agent, no one would watch.
