Last season was the first time I watched this show and my bf and I are in agreement that for the most part, the people on Master Chef cook better than the contestants on Hells Kitchen, and they are chefs! Well, one of them is a butcher.

This show is definitely better than hells kitchen. I was hoping to see that young girl from last season though. I can't remember her name but she was 17 and they told her to come back next year because she just too young.

HK feels like the same thing season after season. Even the dishes are the same.

Yes, I was hoping that girl would come back as well. The people on Master Chef are better cooks and that makes it more interesting to watch. As far as Hell's Kitchen, all the cussing and screaming by Gordon Ramsey gets very old.

What was up with the chefs doubting she was the real thing? Just because she is a knock out? I would have been pissed if I was her.

I think it was because of the old-school fish in pastry she presented. It's a staple that's been around a long time and is a pretty easy dish to master, with practice.

It really does. And I think MC is a better look at how GR is in reality. He's not always ranting and raving in real life I'm sure. He's actually fairly witty and interesting. No less demanding but a lot less over-the-top.

Question for you folks that have watched this show - is the next one going to be more people trying out? or is it now the people that were on the first show?

It should be the actually cooking contest now. Usually a skills competition cuts the numbers down to the actually folks cooking for them. The people in the kitchen with a station.
