Default The Amazing Race - latest season has kicked off!

So last night was the first installment of the latest round of my favorite reality show, The Amazing Race...anyone have any comments?

I think the goth couple are (shockingly) doing pretty well, and in full make-up and hair, no less.

The couple who couldn't get their donkey to budge are probably not going to last very long - it seemed like they didn't handle the pressure too well, and they seemed to be a bit abusive with the poor fella (no wonder he was obstinate!).

I missed the part where one team stole another team's cab that they had already ordered - did anyone catch this?

Yea...the couple took the cab that the father/daughter team ordered from the flight. When the father conforted the guy about taking their cab he really did not care.

I thought karma was coming into play on the couple that were abusing their donkey....within 30 seconds of the game starting they were calling other teams rude names.

The goth couple did really well...they never argued or yelled at each other....I was rooting for them.

I was rooting for the goth couple too. I also liked the guy and his grandfather. I am super happy to have this show back on the air but I have to remember to set my DVR for an hour over because of football - that really got me last season!

Thanks for starting this thread!

Which couple? Was it the male/female who came in last? The dude mentioned something about karma when they were notified of their elimination and I thought that it may have been the two of them that stole the cab.

Glad you like the thread cmj_fla! This will be a good venue for airing our frustrations and relishing in glee as the series unfolds.

Is was the couple, Ari and Staella, that got eliminated...."what goes around comes around".

I bet the couple that are dating...the little blond and the tall guy...will go next. She was the first one to cry....boo hoo:-)

Here's what I want to know - are the goth couple going to be able to race this entire thing in full make up?! I bet they spend half their Pit Stops applying that stuff!

This is the Best reality show EVER! I've watched every season and I can't believe this is season 12!! I love the Phil!!
Takes me awhile to learn the team names and who I'm going to root for. But so far I really like the brother/sister team; as well as some others.
SO excited the new season began early. Wasn't supposed to air until Feb 2008 but due to some show getting canceled it is on early---yahoo!

I'm just happy karma bit that stupid Ari guy in the butt right away! lol I was clapping as they got voted off. First they steal the cab from the other people, then they insult other teams, then they treat their donkey really bad. That donkey hated them, that's why it wouldn't go. All the other people were talking nice to their donkeys, and they didn't have any problems. Except for the dating couple that finally had to push theirs.
This show is my other fav must see reality show. The other is Survivor.

We love this show at our house also. Right now I'm for the Grandpa and his Grandson. I didn't like that the one couple kept calling the goth couple "freaks" really no need for that.
I was glad to see Ari and Stella go. Can't wait for Sunday.
