Anyone planning to watch this tonight? I am the furthest thing from a sci-fi fan, but I absolutely love Dean Norris on Breaking Bad, so I will give it a chance.
I'm recording it and will watch it once we've stopped the marathon known as "The Wire" in our house!! But hey, who else thinks "Under the Dome" reminds them of the Simpson movie...they, too, were under the dome...I just can't help thinking about Homer...doh!!

I have a love/hate relationship with Mr. King's books. I did not like the "Dome" book all that much. And even though I have loved many of Stephen King's books, I have seen few movie or TV adaptations that I have liked. But, maybe I will give this one a try.......

I know what you mean...his books are so...in depth and descriptive...doesn't always translate in movie form...but I did like The Stand. Anyway, I'm also giving it a try...guess we'll see!
I'm planning on watching (unless I fall asleep since I only had about 5 hrs. sleep last night - I have the DVR set to record the series. I know it's gotten bad written reviews but I want to see it anyway. I don't recall a movie of his off the top of my head that I liked as much as the book but we'll see. (I liked the book, I know some didn't but I really did) - I'd also love to see a movie based on his latest (Joyland), now that would make a good movie I think.
