Melissa is going to be near me at the Huntington Book Revue tonight for a book signing and to talk about her book.

I may just go...

This was a Melissa/editor/publisher approved "Joement". And who are the doubters about his alleged rape charge when he was in college?

And it doesn't get better. Illana Angel sums it up here:

Melissa Gorga of RHONJ

And Melissa's had a lot of cancellations (allegedly) for book signings. There are young college women who are boycotting the B&N that are on campus for having Messy Missy show up do "do" a book signing and single handedly setting women back 60+ years.

Her tried and true fans apparently are tween girls and early 20 somethings who are clueless.
O.M.G, as Tree would say. This is sick. I had no idea it was THAT bad. Love Ilana but had not read her blog on Melissa. Sick.

I'm pretty sure no one needs marital advise from Melissa. Though - growing up with a large Italian population in a small town and dating lots of Italian men - a lot of this stereotype I found to be true in my experience.

One guy that was really so funny and fun to be with - insisted that any wife should have sex with her husband whenever HE wanted. In his world, a wife saying she's not in the mood or whatever - wasn't going to fly.

So I'm not totally shocked by what she wrote.

That said, their love of big family (as well as infighting) I found to be true as well.

Good and bad.

I wouldn't shake hands with her if you do. Be interesting to see how many show up though.

Melissa's book sounds horrible. It should have never made it to print. Men and women, boys and girls need to know that no means no and it is never ok to force sex on anyone, how pathetic.

The publishing company knows the book will make money. They don't care about the content. The book is written by a person on a popular reality show and they know that will bring in tons of her "fans" to book signings, appearancs, etc and the book will sell. She's slated to be on a bunch of talk shows as well.
