Someone please explain to me why Ashton Kutcher is making $700K per episode, which is 3.5 times what CSI star Ted Danson makes?

It's absurd, he is not even a good actor, nor are there dangerous or otherwise demanding scenes in such sitcoms. 25k per episode would be more than enough for any such actor.

Just seeing what actors are paid, shows how screwed up our society is. I'd rather see someone that's saving lives, and protecting our country making those kind of bucks. Actually, no one is worth millions for a few hours or days time.

Sitcoms: I'm scared to get hooked on any new ones, because they axe them on a dime. Or they cancel because they have a beef with the star like they did to Titus. That show was a one of a kind, just like My Name Is Earl was. But again, they cancel for no reason. I loved Rodney, and again, gone too soon. I'm always amazed at the ones that runs what seems like forever.

How I Met Your Mother was good for a few years, but my gawd, end it! I only watched a few minutes of Modern Family because I love "Al Bundy", but that one lady's accent drove me up the wall. I see on the $$ list she is the highest paid. Losing Charlie ruined Two And A Half Men. Ashton? Really? And finding out the kid is trashing the show turned me off it as well. If he thinks its so silly and dirty, he should give back the zillion dollars he made off it.

Raising Hope is the best one on the air now, imo. Once in awhile they air a super silly episode, but their 1st season was genius. No surprise since the writers also wrote Earl. I think I like what the masses don't, lol. My shows always disappear. Oh my gosh, look at Pushing Daises!! And I dont know if The Riches would be considered a sitcom, probably not, but again a show gone way too soon. I like a funny, offbeat show, not the same old same old that seems to be the norm today.

I agree with most of what you wrote. But I like the Gloria character in Modern Family, she is a bit rough, but she is the funniest character in my view and I even like her Colombian accent

I was waiting for someone to mention Raising Hope. I absolutely love that show. There's nothing else like it

I don't know, I hope not. I know a lot of people who watch it, because it's different

I agree, it's actually sickening.

I think his salary is up to $750K per episode. Two and Half Men average $184K per 30 second commercial, while CSI averages $113K.

But Ashton Kutcher's salary will probably kill the show, since The Millers is earning $173K per commercial, and Will Arnett is not getting paid anywhere near what Ashton Kutcher makes.

In general comic actors almost always get paid more than dramatic actors. Sometimes they have huge busts, but it is believed that the show cannot survive or even be made without the comic.
