28 One of the scribes came near and heard them disputing with one another, and seeing that he answered them well, he asked him, "Which commandment is the first of all?" 29 Jesus answered, "The first is, 'Hear, O Israel: the Lord our God, the Lord is one; 30 you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.' 31 The second is this, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these." (Mark 12:28-31).

34 When the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together, 35 and one of them, a lawyer, asked him a question to test him. 36 "Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?" 37 He said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.' 38 This is the greatest and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets." (Matthew 22:34-40)

34 I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." (John 13:34-35)

MoMark, I don't expect an intelligent response from you in regards to anything I say since all you can say is "You don't understand. You don't have a clue." - but I can tell you one thing, and if you think I'm wrong, I'll leave that for you to take up with God.

Christianity is based on Love. Love for God. And Love for your neighbor whom you are to treat as a brother. Those were the words of Jesus. The greatest law of all.

Love God unconditionally, Love those around you unconditionally. It's a shame the world isn't like that.

I'm finished with this entire forum. You can return to the Ghost Hunters talk.

You "don't expect an intelligent response" from MoMark? Does a comment like that demonstrate Christian love toward your neighbor?
WWJD Mercyful Fate?

Okay, did that. You state you are a Mahayana Buddhist. I will rephrase: Your comment to MoMark that you do not expect "an intelligent response" does not demonstrate the Karuna that is integral to your faith.

I LOVE Ghosthunters! It's one of my fav shows. I've had experiences all my life with the paranormal. When I was a kid I was a little confused but learned how to deal with it as a part of my life. My mom is the same way. I've fully accepted it now and wouldn't wan't to change how I am. Some people are just more receptive to their surroundings than others. Spirits can sense that and can be attracted to people as well. That's why some can feel and even see them. Faith can always protect you as long as you respect their "world" as well.

My husband and I got to hear Jason and the other main guy-getting old, can't remember his name-speak at Missouri Southern State University in Joplin,MO. They were very friendly, showed clips from the show, gave some interesting background info, and some amusing tales, like the woman who INVITED them to investigate her house, then when they showed up CHASED them out with a frying pan. Turns out she was schizophrenic, and forgot she let them in-she thought they were going to rob her.She was referred for medical treatment. It was a great evening!

Default Ghost hunters TV show on Sci Fi

Anybody watch that show Ghost hunters Wednesday nights on the Sci-Fi channel?

Seems pretty legit, those guys catch some crazy stuff on video & audio. The Charles Manson murders episode was odd!

I perfer the show on the Discovery Channel - A HAUNTING. Unfortunately they air it at 2 pm with new shows on Friday's. Quite a few of the people actually show their face in the program which lends some credability to it. I record the new shows and watch them at night with my 14 yo daughter, lights out of course.

Man, those shows are highly stupid. They see a speck of dust in the front of the camera lens and they say its a ghost. Don't be so gullible people
