I was curious if you had any interests in wrestling title belts? Title belts are not very important now but in the old territory system they were very important and a lot of fans like to collect replicas of old belts.Here are some images of famous belts.


My favorite. The NWA world title belt, called "the ten pounds of gold" was used from 1973 to 1986. Was worn by greats such as Harley Race , Jack Brisco ,Terry Funk, Dusty Rhodes, Ric Flair.



The WWF title belt that Bruno Sammartino wore during his first title reign that lasted almost 8 years.



The AWA world title belt used from 1974 to 1986.Worn for many years by Nick Bockwinkle.

Indeed, I love the old belts.

That AWA one would be on display at the Tunica Resorts in Tunica Ms, if it wasn't for the fact that Verne got a new belt made after 86. When Lawler and Kerry Von Erich had their unification match to crown "One" world champion in 1988 Lawler was never paid. So he kept the belt despite the Gagnes asking for it back. The promotion in Memphis used it as the unified world title for a long time and today it sits in the Jerry Lawler Museum at Tunica Resorts.
