It could have also been a younger or older Dr. Wells too. We shall see. I did laugh with the ring key as that is the only plausible way the flash ring would work in a modern and practical universe like The Flash is in. However I did drop the S.O.B. when the Wells reveal happened.

I didn't either. I just knew of Captain Cold being a rival of Flash from the Justice League show that I saw as a kid in reruns. I watched some YouTube videos that covered the reverse flashes to understand a bit better.

You all forgot to mention there was yet another cameo from the 1990 Flash TV series last night. In addition to John Wesley Shipp's appearance, Amanda Pays (my she has aged) made two appearances! *squee*

Kudos to the show runners for acknowledging the previous series.

Wells doing multiple time travel jaunts, yes--with changes of attitude between them.

That was Amanda Pays? I thought she looked familiar, but I couldn't figure out who it was. Thanks for the info.

Apparently there will be another The Flash '90 alumni on The Flash '14 joining Pays and Shipp.

Spoiler
Mark Hammil has signed on to reprise his role as The Trickster.

I'm excited to see what they got in store for the rest of season 1 and even more so for the new season in September. Wonder what new metahumans good and bad we can see...

I'd much rather they develop the characters they've already introduced rather than continually introducing a new villain every week. That has already gotten old.
