Joe had Rick wrapped up and was squeezing the breath out of him. He was totally incapacitated with is arms pinned to his side in a bear grip and his only weapon was his teeth. Rick was at the point of passing out until that last move.
Rick was wobbly after being pistol whipped and kicked. But this was after Rick headbutted him and Joes gun went off inches from Ricks ear, stunning him. The point is it wasn't a stand up fight and Joe should be a lot tougher then an Alexandrian.
Rick did kind of go off on a crazy rant (at least that's probably the way the Alexandrians saw it) at the end there. My guess is they'll either banish him or while they're talking about banishing him, the W people will show up and Rick will need to take charge.

I think like a lot of people I expected Rick to whip Dr. Boozehound's keyster in a fight. I was quite surprised that it was even a contest.
As others have said, no one knows Pete's background. Amateur boxer? High school wrestling champ that stayed in shape? Who knows. Plus, Rick was probably holding back so as not to kill Pete. Heck, maybe Rick wanted it to drag out like that and put on a show for everyone to make a point? I could definitely see that.
Wife beater or not, I don't see the town wanting to get rid of a doctor. Anyways, Rick and/or Carol could've put their stealthy heads together and plotted his demise rather than taking this brute force approach.
This show, other than the first episode of this season is becoming pure garbage for me. I love the zombie genre so I'm going to watch of course. But watching the show is like going to church but with a priest/pastor you can't stand. But you go anyway.
I'm so tired of this drama they have to have in the show when they spend no time giving us a clue as to what caused the plague, who caused it and if there is any hope. Just garbage.
The show would be better without the lame zombies since they've just turned it into a human vs human survival theme.
Yvette Nicole Brown from the show Community. Always well prepared (she takes notes) and has great input.
She's my favorite guest too, and know nothing about her except her appearances on TD. She takes more notes than I do! She also had a great point about Gabriel being a terrible example of a person who supposedly has faith.
